So, another problem has occurred with all my music on iTunes. My comp keeps saying that all of my songs are unchecked, and if they aren't checked, they won't play. Is there a way I can select all of my songs and check them so that they can be played? I've messed with it so much and I can't seem to find the solution, so help would be greatly appreciated.
I use Jaws, so it might be different.
I hit my application key when I am on the song I want. I arrow down and can find check or uncheck. Space bar checks or unchecks the track.
How did they get unchecked in the first place? I mean what were you doing that might have caused it?
Last, did you ever get it upgraded? I posted the fix on your other board?
I have a bit to add.
This morning iTunes updated to the latest version. Some of my tracks didn't play simply by hitting the space bar or enter key. They also stated unchecked.
With Jaws 14 again I press the applications key, or get there with the control key, and the first option is play. If I hit enter on that the song plays and after remains checked.
The latest version of iTunes will be different, so will require some playing with it to learn how to make it work. My personal opinion on it is I like it better then the last version.
I have no scripts installed, so it is working as installed and on the computer I have tested it on I am running Windows 8.
I suspect it will work just as nicely on other OS platforms, but have not as this writing tested that.
I feel as though I'm way behind on the times. Lol. I just got an IPod touch, and I'm trying to figure out as much of ITunes by myself as I can, but I have had some problems. All the tutorials and instructions are visually descriptive which is obviously no help. Did you say there were scripts for ITunes? Maybe they'd help. I'm mainly going to use it to download music. Here's how far I've gotten.
I figured out how to browse for music, and I know how to find artists by genre. The problem I'm having is downloading and buying the music itself. Again, I've tried figuring it out, but the instructions are no help. They said to click on some arrow and find the buy button, or something along those lines. If someone could help me out that would be great. Either send me a private message, or do whatever suits you. Thanks.
I, when I posted was not running scripts for the test.
Howver, if you use Jaws, the scripts are best and make iTunes completely user friendly. See my post on the other board.
When you connect your device to your computer you'll see it in iTunes, and the enterface will be easy to understand.
There is a list of keystrokes in the help section of iTunes that work for you as well as the sighted, so even without scripts you can load your music on and such things easy.
Press your applications key see what you learn. Press the alt key see what you learn. Connect your device, look for it in iTunes with arrows, shift tab, and tab.
Approach it like any program you are wanting to learn to use.
This is difficult to teach, because it is difficult to know how well a person understand basic computing. If you can't be on the phone, or with them, that is hard to judge. The keyboard shortcuts will help you much, and if you decide to use the scripts, better.
The only thing the scripts did for me so far I couldn't do was make it possible to preview songs in the store.
I don't use the playlist and other features, so your experience will differ.
